A Canadian education begins with a set of decisions. Give yourself space to understand both the academic requirements and the immigration rules before making commitments.

01

Choose the institution and program

Review admission requirements, tuition, location and support services. Confirm DLI status and independently check whether the exact program can support your post-graduation plans.

02

Build a financial picture

Consider tuition, living costs, health insurance and travel. Use current IRCC financial support requirements instead of historical figures.

03

Understand the permit process

Check acceptance, PAL/TAL exemptions, CAQ requirements for Quebec, and supporting documents. An admission offer does not guarantee a study permit.

04

Prepare for arrival

Research housing, provincial health coverage, campus support and travel requirements. Keep copies of official documents in a secure place.
